Lecture series strengthens legal training for students and teachers at UMECIT

As part of the actions aimed at strengthening academic training and linking with key actors in the justice system, students and teachers of the Bachelor of Law and Political Science at UMECIT participated in the Conference Series on current legal issues, developed with the participation of outstanding specialists in the national legal field.

The academic day included the conference "The legal framework and challenges of the new Constituent Assembly", given by Dr. Noé Alejandro Villarreal Alberola, professor at the University of Panama, who shared an analysis of the legal, institutional and democratic challenges involved in the constituent process in the current context of the country.

Likewise, Dr. Yanireth Herrera Vergara, a judge of the Judicial Branch, presented the conference "The succession process in the new Civil Procedural Code", addressing the main normative and procedural changes that impact the administration of justice in succession matters.

The activity reinforced the legal, regulatory and practical foundations related to Public Administration, constitutional law and civil procedural law, promoting the development of critical analysis skills, legal argumentation and practical application of law among participating students and teachers.

During the meeting, attendees strengthened their learning through the exchange of knowledge and experiences with professionals from the legal and judicial sector, fostering creative, critical and prospective thinking, as well as the ethical commitment that characterizes UMECIT's Neocyberhumanist educational model.

Through these types of initiatives, the university continues to strengthen university outreach and consolidate strategic alliances with institutions and actors in the justice system, contributing to the training of professionals committed to the legal and social development of the country.
