The Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology -UMECIT- participated as a sponsor of the business forum called "Positive Economic Activation", a space where the present and future of the economy was addressed both in Panama and in the region from the business sectors, technology, infrastructure and tourism.

The event, which took place at the Panama Convention Center, organized by the Panama en Positivo platform, was attended by personalities such as Ministers Ramón Martínez de la Guardia, of Commerce and Industry, Rafael Sabogne of Public Works; Jose Alejandro Rojas Counselor of the Facilitation of Private Investment and business personalities, government and diplomacy.

Within the framework of the conversation, the expectations of recovery after the pandemic were spoken "positively" and all the panelists agreed that Panama is one of the strongest countries in the region, with dynamic growth rates and a strategic role leveraged by the tenacity of Panamanians, including the empowerment of women.

Likewise, the experiences were heard, from different sectors, of how in the midst of the crisis they managed to reinvent themselves in a few days and get ahead, many of them even stronger.

The event showed the optimistic and hopeful side of a country that shows its determination to move forward and be a better nation every day.
