Workshop strengthens forensic skills of Criminalistics and Forensic Science students at UMECIT La Chorrera
The Criminalistics and Forensic Sciences program at UMECIT, La Chorrera campus, developed the Workshop on Crime Scene and Evidence Collection, an academic day aimed at strengthening essential practical skills for criminal investigation.
The activity was led by Professor José Luis Domínguez and had the active participation of students from the Saturday afternoon program, who carried out exercises in the collection, packaging and classification of evidence applying protocols used in the forensic field.
During the workshop, participants reinforced their knowledge related to the proper preservation of evidence, the technical analysis of the crime scene, and the application of specialized procedures, while also promoting critical thinking and experiential learning.
With this type of initiative, UMECIT reaffirms its commitment to quality academic training, aligned with the demands of the professional environment and focused on strengthening teaching, research and university extension through the Continuing Education subprogram.
The teaching leadership and the enthusiasm of the students demonstrate the growth and projection of the Criminalistics and Forensic Sciences career at the La Chorrera campus.
