Mental Health Congress strengthens academic training and commitment to comprehensive well-being

During their participation in the 3rd Mental Health Congress of the Panama Canal Authority (ACP), students and teachers of the Bachelor of Psychology at UMECIT experienced an enriching academic experience aimed at strengthening knowledge and skills related to the promotion of integral well-being.

The congress, developed as a space for reflection, learning and exchange of experiences, brought together leading mental health professionals, who shared perspectives and strategies to address current challenges in psychological well-being and human development.

Through conferences, panels and specialized activities, participants delved into fundamental topics such as self-care, prevention and promotion of mental health, emotional management, resilience, well-being in work environments and the importance of interdisciplinary work to provide comprehensive care to people.

Participation in these types of events strengthens the professional training of future psychologists, allowing them to complement the knowledge acquired in the classroom with updated learning experiences aligned with the needs of contemporary society.

Likewise, these initiatives reaffirm the institutional commitment to training professionals capable of contributing to the construction of more conscious, empathetic and healthy communities, promoting a comprehensive vision of human well-being.

UMECIT thanks the Panama Canal Authority for creating academic meeting spaces that promote the exchange of knowledge and highlight the relevance of mental health as a fundamental pillar for the development of people and organizations.

Because taking care of your mind is also building a better future for everyone.
