Within the framework of the Fútbol 360° Conference, the Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology (UMECIT) and the Panama Footballers Association (AFUTPA) formalized a Framework Agreement for Academic Cooperation, aimed at strengthening collaboration between both institutions and generating new development opportunities in the academic, professional and sports fields.

The agreement was signed by Dr. José Alberto Nieto Rojas, Rector of UMECIT, and Mr. Juan Ramón Solís, Executive Director of AFUTPA, who, representing their respective institutions, reaffirmed their commitment to promoting actions of common interest.

The agreement establishes the basis for academic, technical, and cultural cooperation between UMECIT and AFUTPA, encompassing areas such as professional practice, research, updating and training, as well as other initiatives that can be developed jointly.

This alliance responds to a shared vision on the importance of promoting the integral development of people linked to sports, generating spaces that allow connecting academic training with the experiences and needs of the sports environment.

Likewise, the agreement contemplates the possibility of developing specific collaborative programs and projects, with objectives, activities, responsible parties and monitoring mechanisms defined by mutual agreement between both institutions.

For UMECIT, this alliance represents an opportunity to continue strengthening the links between education, society and sport, promoting experiences that contribute to the training of competent professionals committed to their environment.

For its part, AFUTPA maintains its commitment to the comprehensive development of professional footballers in Panama, promoting their rights and opportunities in the labor, economic, educational, academic and social spheres.

With this agreement, UMECIT and AFUTPA take the first step in an alliance that seeks to take the team spirit beyond the field: training, collaborating and creating new opportunities for the development of Panamanian talent.
