2. Sensitization, Training and Socialization

On August 25, 2022, at the Hotel Panama, the act of signing the commitment of all the faculties of Health Sciences, of the different universities of Panama with CONEAUPA for the process of accreditation and reaccreditation of the careers

3. Program of Activities:

Since August 2022, reaccreditation and awareness workshops have been carried out for all the University community

Development

The programmed activities have been carried out by the accreditation team, with all the interest groups. The surveys were applied, using digital media, according to our Cyberhumanist Curricular Educational Model.

Conclusion

The self-evaluation results report was delivered on August 19, 2022, showing 97.8% compliance with the 103 standards. Likewise, the means of verification, annexes 1, 2 and 3 were delivered, reaffirming the transparency of the process carried out.

The Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy is based on a four-year curricular option that includes the body kinetics of human beings as the axis of their actions. Hence, the interrelated areas highlight important aspects in the cultural and social environment, resulting in a suitable professional in this field.

The Physiotherapy professional will be critical, reflective, and creative from the assimilation of the necessary fundamentals for the understanding and apprehension of skills and abilities aimed at educating, promoting, evaluating, diagnosing, intervening, enabling, and rehabilitating the kinetic condition of the individual.

For all of the above, the curriculum of the Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy proposed by the Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology It is based on a comprehensive, contextualized plan, through which physiotherapy is seen as a profession that is practiced from a comprehensive health approach. Its object of study is focused on a bio-psychosocial conception, directing its actions to maintain, recover, optimize and enhance human body movement, intervening on the basis of psychosocial diagnoses of deficiency, physical limitation and disability.
