On July 13 and in accordance with the framework agreement between the Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology -UMECIT – and the University Corporation of Meta -UNIMETA- signed since November 2017, five specific agreements were signed, whose purpose is to establish the academic, administrative and financial procedures, for the development of various master's programs.
The postgraduate programs, which will be carried out in the distance (virtual) modality, are the master's degrees of the Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences, in the programs of: Business Administration with its three emphases in Human Resources; Business Finance and Management Marketing, as well as administrative programs that correspond to the Faculty of Health Sciences, such as the master's degrees in Occupational Health and Industrial Safety and Management in Health Services, in distance modality.
These framework agreements aim to encourage student mobility, which results in quality education, since it improves professional training with international projection, the exchange of knowledge, the creation of educational and professional networks where both institutions draw on knowledge.
UNIMETA graduate students from related programs will be able to enter the previous UMECIT programs and obtain their master's degree in our institution, the account with accreditation according to Resolution No. 15 of October 31, 2012, issued by the National Council of Evaluation and Accreditation of Universities of Panama (CONEAUPA).
The signing of the agreement was attended by our House of Studies, the rector, José Alberto Nieto Rojas and Dr. Claudia Marcela Rueda Ossa and on behalf of UNIMETA, Dr. Leonor Mojica Sánchez, rector and Dr. Jorge Mario Gutiérrez Aulestia , Administrative Director.
