Within the framework of the project Health Promoting University, The workshop was held: “Promoting healthy lifestyles”, result of the strategic alliance between the Ministry of Health and UMECIT Chitré headquarters.
The day aimed to strengthen the physical and emotional well-being and self-care of the academic community, promoting a culture oriented towards the adoption of healthy habits and conscious decisions that positively impact the quality of life.
During the activity, it was emphasized that health is not limited to the absence of disease, but implies a comprehensive balance that includes fundamental pillars such as a balanced diet, regular physical activity, adequate rest, emotional well-being and the prevention of harmful habits.
The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Yamir Javier Jaén, from the HIV/AIDS Clinic; Ms. Keyra Afú, from the Cessation Clinic; and Mr. Armando Barba, a nutritionist, who shared key knowledge for health care from a preventive and comprehensive approach.
Through these initiatives, UMECIT continues to promote actions that transform the educational environment into a space that fosters the comprehensive well-being and quality of life of its entire community.
