As part of UMECIT's commitment to practical training and the development of high-level professional skills, four students of the Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health participated in specialized training in rescue and work in confined spaces, given by the company SPRA-RESCUE SA, an expert organization in training and management of industrial emergencies.
The workshop, held in La Chorrera, allowed participants to strengthen their knowledge through an intensive experience that combined theoretical foundations with practical exercises in demanding scenarios, focused on the application of safety protocols in high-risk work environments.
During the training, the students had the opportunity to learn and apply procedures related to hazard identification, atmospheric risk assessment, proper use of specialized equipment and response to emergency situations in confined spaces, one of the most critical areas within occupational safety and health.
The experience also included the handling of state-of-the-art rescue equipment and the guidance of certified instructors, who shared technical knowledge and best practices aligned with international industrial safety standards.
This participation represents an important contribution to the comprehensive training of future occupational safety and health professionals, allowing them to develop essential practical skills for accident prevention and the protection of life in work environments.
At UMECIT we continue to promote learning spaces that bring our students closer to the real challenges of their profession, strengthening their preparation to respond effectively to the needs of the productive sector and contribute to building safer and healthier work environments.
The training reaffirms the importance of practical education as a tool to transform knowledge into actions that protect lives and generate a positive impact on society.
