As part of the strategies to strengthen internationalization and academic cooperation, an incoming mobility day was developed in partnership with the Cooperative University of Colombia, Pasto campus, Nariño.
The activity included academic spaces, institutional tours and specialized conferences aimed at the exchange of knowledge in areas related to the agricultural sector and coffee production.
Among the highlighted activities was the conference entitled “Coffee Cultivation in Panama and its Impact on the National Productive Sector”, presented by Engineer Gaspar Ortiz, National Director of Agribusiness of the Ministry of Agricultural Development (MIDA), who shared knowledge and experiences on the development of Panamanian coffee and its relevance within the national productive sector.
Likewise, students from the UCC's Coffee Specialization program participated in an academic space where they shared experiences and knowledge related to the coffee sector, thus strengthening the international and academic exchange between both institutions.
The day also included tours of academic facilities and technological innovation spaces, consolidating institutional cooperation ties and promoting global learning experiences.
These initiatives continue to strengthen internationalization processes and collaborative work between Panama and Colombia, promoting academic and professional opportunities of international scope.
