With the aim of strengthening the academic and professional skills of future lawyers, the Faculty of Law and Political Science held a specialized training day for its students, addressing topics of great relevance to the practice of law and the justice system.
The activity included the participation of Master Gionela R. Ortega, who developed the conference entitled “Illegal Evidence”, in which he delved into the conceptual, doctrinal and jurisprudential aspects related to the admissibility of evidence within judicial processes, as well as the legal implications derived from the irregular obtaining of evidentiary elements.
Similarly, Kathia Lorena Justiniani Lucero, Esq., presented the topic “Chain of Custody and Criminal Liability”, She emphasized the importance of procedures that guarantee the integrity, authenticity, and preservation of evidence from its collection to its presentation in court. She also explained the legal liabilities that may arise from non-compliance with these protocols.
These academic sessions are part of the institutional strategies aimed at complementing the comprehensive training of students, promoting the continuous updating of knowledge, the critical analysis of contemporary legal challenges and the strengthening of the skills required for ethical and excellent professional performance.
