Educating from Diversity: UMECIT and UTP promote congress on neurodevelopment and inclusion

With the purpose of fostering spaces for reflection, learning and awareness about diversity and inclusion, the Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology -UMECIT-, in conjunction with the Technological University of Panama (UTP), invites the academic community and the general public to participate in the University Congress on Neurodevelopment and Sensory Disability: “Educating from Diversity”.

This important academic meeting will take place on Monday, June 22nd and Tuesday, June 23rd, 2026, in the Auditorium Theater of the Rector's Building of the Technological University of Panama, from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm.

Under the motto that diversity is also educated, understood and supported, the congress seeks to strengthen knowledge and understanding of the challenges and opportunities related to neurodevelopment and sensory disabilities, promoting a more inclusive, accessible and people-centered education.

During the sessions, institutions, foundations, and specialists committed to building more equitable and humane educational environments will participate, sharing experiences, best practices, and tools for the comprehensive support of students with diverse needs.

The activity represents a valuable opportunity for teachers, students, professionals and the public interested in expanding their knowledge about educational inclusion and strengthening their commitment to promoting a society that is more aware of and respectful of diversity.

UMECIT thus reaffirms its commitment to comprehensive training, inclusion and the development of academic initiatives that contribute to building a transformative and accessible education for all.
