Graduation Ceremonies UMECIT 2023
This month of August, we have witnessed excitement and pride surrounding a momentous event: the successful completion of an important chapter in the lives of our graduates. For the Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology -UMECIT-, these ceremonies have a special meaning, since it is the tangible testimony of the effort, dedication and perseverance that each of the graduates has invested in their education.
We have come together in different ceremonies throughout the country and abroad to honor those who have persevered, who have fought for their dreams and who have overcome challenges to reach this significant goal.
Each step taken on this path has been marked by hours of study, sacrifice, and determination. From classrooms to laboratories, from libraries to shared experiences with peers and teachers, each moment has contributed to this collective achievement.
These graduates have not only acquired academic knowledge, but have also cultivated skills, friendships, and memories that will last throughout their lives. They have shown that education is a path of constant growth and that perseverance is the key that opens doors to a future full of possibilities.
We thank the parents, relatives, friends and the entire UMECIT community for having been an unconditional support on this journey. Your words of encouragement, your patience, and your love have been a beacon that has guided these graduates through the most challenging times.
As we celebrate these achievements, we also look forward. Our graduates will embark on new adventures and challenges. That they carry with them the values that UMECIT has instilled: honesty, respect, responsibility, solidarity and tolerance. May they continue to seek knowledge, continue to forge their path with passion, and continue to be ambassadors for positive change in their communities and in the world.
Panama and Colombia Ceremony
Within the framework of this ceremony, the Rector, José Alberto Nieto Rojas, congratulated the new professionals and encouraged them to keep in touch with UMECIT through the graduate office. During his speech, he highlighted the importance of sustainability and the preservation of green environments in Panama and Colombia, as well as emphasizing the need to adapt to the digital transformation and ongoing changes.
“Adapting to change is key, we should not fear it. The elderly must adapt to new generations and young people, to changes in order to grow and advance”, expressed the Rector.
At the ceremony, held at the Latin American and Caribbean Parliament -PARLATINO-, the Vice Chancellor for Projects, Dr. Santiago Nieto Rueda, congratulated each graduate for completing their hard work, sacrifice, and dedication. He highlighted that the determination and perseverance of the graduates prepares them to face the challenges of the world.
Dr. Santiago Nieto Rueda also pointed out the importance of the rapid evolution of the world in terms of technology and global interconnection. He highlighted that our graduates witness profound changes in society, economy and human relations, calling on them to play a vital role in shaping our collective future.
UMECIT celebrates this achievement together with its graduates and reaffirms its commitment to continue promoting success and academic growth.
Congratulations to all of our graduates!
