UMECIT, Chitré Campus, reaffirmed its commitment to the educational and professional development of the central region of the country through its participation in Azuero Vibra 2026, a commercial and academic showcase held at the Azuero Convention Center.

During the two days of the event, UMECIT was part of this platform that brought together different actors from the academic, business and entrepreneurial fields, with the purpose of strengthening the links between higher education, the productive sector and the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the country.

Through their participation, UMECIT representatives shared with hundreds of visitors, students, and micro-entrepreneurs interested in learning about new educational trends, training alternatives, and tools to boost their professional and business growth.

As part of its academic agenda, the university participated alongside other higher education institutions in the discussion “Education, Talent, and Regional Opportunities.” In this forum, Anielka Samaniego, MA, highlighted the academic and scientific component that characterizes UMECIT's proposal and its connection to concrete actions in areas such as employment, technology, entrepreneurship, and the development of the talent needed in the region.

During her speech, she also presented the report “Connect Education and Employment”, highlighting the importance of promoting education linked to the real needs of the socio-labor environment and generating greater opportunities from an equity perspective.

UMECIT's participation in this meeting reaffirms the importance of promoting spaces for dialogue and collaboration that allow us to understand the structural realities of the region and contribute, from academia, to building opportunities for its development.

As part of Azuero Vibra 2026, UMECIT Chitré Campus also had an information booth, staffed by its Marketing team, where visitors could learn firsthand about its academic offerings, which include bachelor's degrees, technical degrees, and specialized programs designed to meet the demands of the current job market and contribute to sustainable development.
