UMECIT presented the book "Research Methodology: An Integral Approach," a contribution to strengthening scientific research.
The Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology (UMECIT) held the official presentation of the book on October 15, 2026 Research Methodology: An Integrated Approach, a work authored by Doctors José Arles Gómez, Harold Stick Fique Ramírez and Magdy De Las Salas Barroso, published under the seal of the Scientific Publishing Fund of UMECIT (FECUM).
The activity took place in the Conference Room of the Veneto A Headquarters, in a hybrid format, with the participation of university authorities, academic staff, collaborators, as well as teachers and students of the Doctorate in Educational Sciences, who attended the meeting in person and virtually from Panama and other countries.
The event began with welcoming remarks from the Rector of UMECIT, Dr. José Nieto, who supported this initiative to disseminate the institution's scientific output. Among the authorities present were Dr. Claudia Marcela Rueda, Vice-Rector, along with other Vice-Rectors, Directors, and Academic Coordinators.
The presentation of the work was led by the special guest, Dr. Mario Javier Pacheco, a graduate of the Doctorate in Educational Sciences from UMECIT and former consul of Colombia in the Republic of Panama, who had the responsibility of presenting this new editorial contribution to the attendees.
Later, Dr. José Arles Gómez spoke on behalf of the authors, as part of a gathering that culminated in the symbolic launch of the book. Authors José Arles Gómez and Magdy De Las Salas Barroso were present at the event, while Dr. Harold Stick Fique Ramírez participated virtually.
A work built from scientific collaboration
Research Methodology: An Integrated Approach It is the result of the collaborative work of three academics, whose experiences and international trajectories converge in a publication aimed at strengthening the understanding and development of scientific research processes.
The work addresses research from a comprehensive perspective, recognizing the importance of scientific rigor and the theoretical, practical, and methodological contributions generated through the construction of knowledge.
This publication is a support resource for students, teachers and researchers interested in delving deeper into the foundations and processes of research, and reflects UMECIT's commitment to the production, dissemination and circulation of scientific knowledge.
