Mental health at work and in daily life, a topic of reflection at a university discussion

With the discussion “Minds without Borders: Mental Health at Work and in Life Today”, the Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology -UMECIT- promoted a space for reflection on the importance of emotional well-being in work, academic and personal environments.

The activity, carried out on October 14, 2026 as part of the commemoration of World Mental Health Day, was organized by the teachers of Substantive Functions from the David, Santiago and La Chorrera campuses, and had the participation of students, teachers and administrative staff from different university campuses.

The meeting provided an opportunity to highlight the importance of paying attention to mental health in everyday life, recognizing its relationship with overall well-being, and promoting greater awareness of emotional care both inside and outside of work and study spaces.

Through these initiatives, UMECIT continues to promote awareness and reflection spaces that contribute to strengthening a culture of well-being and mental health care among the members of its university community.
