For two weeks, doctoral students in Educational Sciences and Business Administration participated in an academic stay at UMECIT, accompanied by Colombian teachers, to deepen their scientific and research skills.
From October 5 to 17, 2026, the Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology -UMECIT- received students from Ecuador, belonging to the Doctoral programs in Educational Sciences and Doctoral programs in Business Administration, who participated in an international academic mobility experience aimed at strengthening their scientific training.
During the two-week stay, the doctoral students developed academic activities and spaces for the exchange of knowledge and experiences, focused on strengthening their research skills and contributing to the methodological rigor, relevance and quality of their scientific productions.
The day was supported by Colombian teachers Freddy Quitiam and Dr. José Arles Gómez, who contributed their knowledge and academic experience to the training process, enriching the analysis and reflection on the challenges of doctoral research.
The participation of Ecuadorian students and Colombian teachers fostered an exchange of perspectives that broadened the view on scientific research and strengthened academic ties between professionals from different Latin American countries.
This experience is part of the internationalization actions promoted by UMECIT to complement the training of its doctoral students, facilitate the circulation of knowledge and promote the construction of academic and scientific collaboration networks.
Through these meetings, the university continues to expand its international reach and offer training opportunities that connect doctoral research with different realities and contexts in Latin America.
