UMECIT participates in strategic meeting between AUPPA and the United States Ambassador to strengthen international academic cooperation
UMECIT participated in an important dialogue space organized by the Association of Private Universities of Panama (AUPPA), together with the Ambassador of the United States of America in Panama, H.E. Kevin Marino Cabrera, with the purpose of exploring cooperation opportunities for the benefit of Panamanian higher education.
Representing this institution was the Vice-Rector of Projects, Master Santiago Nieto, who participated in this first meeting aimed at strengthening ties between private universities in the country and international strategic actors, promoting future alliances in research, academic cooperation and exchange with US institutions.
During the meeting, priority issues for the development of higher education were addressed, including the strengthening of the English language, international research and the generation of academic exchange opportunities, recognizing these elements as key tools for the training of professionals with a global vision and the ability to respond to the challenges of the national and international environment.
The meeting also made it possible to make available the academic and research capabilities of the AUPPA member universities, with a view to developing joint initiatives that promote innovation, internationalization and educational cooperation.
