UMECIT developed the course Strategic Digital Marketing, taught by the company Cloud Productions SA and aimed at entrepreneurs from the university community, with the purpose of strengthening skills in digital strategies and the use of artificial intelligence tools applied to business.
The program, which ran from May 5 to 14, 2026, and lasted a total of 12 hours, was led by Professor Gilberto Barrios, who guided participants in learning essential concepts and tools to boost ventures through digital marketing.
The training covered fundamental topics related to the five pillars of digital marketing: audience, platform, content, distribution, and measurement. Participants also explored buyer persona creation, SMART goal setting, content pillar development, digital formats for social media, and strategic idea generation and copywriting for posts.
One of the main contributions of the course was the integration of digital tools and artificial intelligence such as Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Metricool, Gamma and Manus, used for research, process automation, content generation, metrics analysis and strategic planning of digital publications.
As part of the academic closing ceremony, participants presented their ventures and business ideas, applying the knowledge acquired during the training process and demonstrating the strengthening of skills geared towards innovation and business competitiveness. The event was organized by the Continuing Education Coordination and the Entrepreneurship Coordination.
