UMECIT strengthens its social commitment with the delivery of school supplies in Capira
As part of community outreach and social action activities, volunteering Hands that Transform UMECIT He successfully carried out the delivery of school supplies to boys and girls of the Hierba Buena School, located in the district of Capira.
The initiative, managed by the Extension Coordination, directly benefited 19 students, who enthusiastically received educational materials that will contribute to improving their learning conditions.
These donations were made possible thanks to the valuable solidarity of the student community and the faculty of the UMECIT La Chorrera campus, demonstrating a strong commitment to the educational development of communities with greater needs.
Representing the institution were Ernesto Martínez, Campus Coordinator; Manuel Mendieta, Graduation Coordinator; and Henyi Edghill, a volunteer student of General Psychology. The activity was coordinated by Alexis Del Cid, Extension Coordinator at the La Chorrera campus.
During the day, the director of the educational center expressed his gratitude for this act of solidarity, highlighting the positive impact it will have on the educational process of the students who benefit.
Beyond the delivery of materials, this initiative promotes values such as solidarity, empathy, and social commitment, strengthening the bond between the university and the community. It also reaffirms UMECIT's role as an agent of change, driving initiatives that transform lives and foster an education with a humanistic approach.
