The 2023 graduating class of General Psychology at UMECIT makes a donation to FUNDACÁNCER as a closing event for the commemoration of Psychologist's Day
As part of the closing of the commemorative activities for Psychologist's Day in Panama, the 2023 Promotion of the Bachelor's Degree in General Psychology of the Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology -UMECIT- made a significant donation to FUNDACÁNCER, reaffirming the social commitment that characterizes the integral training of future psychology professionals.
This initiative symbolizes the values that UMECIT promotes in its students: empathy, solidarity, social responsibility, and respect for human dignity. Through this gesture, the students demonstrated that the practice of Psychology extends beyond the academic and professional sphere, becoming a tool for generating well-being, hope, and support for those facing vulnerable situations.
The delivery represents the commitment of future psychologists to building a more humane and inclusive society, where service to the community constitutes a fundamental pillar of professional practice.
UMECIT recognizes and congratulates the Class of 2023 for this valuable act of solidarity, which reflects the spirit of service and dedication that distinguish its students. Likewise, it expresses its appreciation to FUNDACÁNCER for the important work it carries out for the benefit of cancer patients and their families, contributing to the strengthening of comprehensive care and community support in Panama.
With actions like this, the University continues to strengthen an education based on academic excellence and ethical and social commitment, convinced that training psychologists also means training professionals capable of transforming lives through empathy, knowledge and service.
