Swimming Program in the Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education and Personal Training
As part of the Faculty of Humanities, UMECIT has a swimming program that is an integral part of the academic training in this career, which is designed to prepare future professionals to work as physical education teachers and sports coaches, complying with the highest standards of quality and professional commitment.
Our students have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of aquatic activities and programs including:
Exploration of basic learning factors.
Introduction to the basic techniques of swimming styles.
Study of psychopedagogy applied to the teaching of swimming.
Training planning in the aquatic field.
General theory of training for the optimal development of skills and techniques.
During the course, students acquire fundamental methodological skills for teaching and training in aquatic disciplines. In addition, they learn to identify the appropriate conditions and circumstances to initiate aquatic activities, as well as to apply methods, principles and components of training for teaching and training high-performance sports in swimming.
