The 2022 Health Fair, La Chorrera Headquarters, left its mark on the community
Last Saturday, August 27, with a massive participation, our House of Studies carried out the Health Fair, La Chorrera headquarters for the benefit of the FAUDI United Association for Intellectual Disability, as an event promoting the humanistic conception that It is promoted in the university community and where values such as solidarity, love, forgiveness and tolerance shine.
The Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology - UMECIT- it has always been aware of its leading role in the progress of the region and other latitudes, devising mechanisms to link up with the business sector and society with the purpose of satisfying the needs of the environment.
The Health Fair developed by the Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology - UMECIT- La Chorrera headquarters, was also carried out thanks to the support of various public and private entities, as well as the Honorable Leopoldo Lee, representative of the corregimiento from Barrio Colón, who collaborated for the event to take place at the sports complex, November 28 in La Chorrera.
Within the framework of this Fair, the XIII edition of the 2022 Student Research Conference was also held, where students from different careers were able to present their results as a research product in the classroom.
During the fair event several activities were carried out, among them:
zumba fitness: a fun activity, through combined dance movements and a series of aerobic routines directed by the instructor Valeria Flores, with the participation of more than 20 people including students, teachers and the community.
dog show: This colorful spectacle was in charge of the Canine Units of the National Police.
Culture Presentation: by the UMECIT Folk Projections Group, La Chorrera headquarters, who provided a cultural show through various typical dances, thus promoting cultural development.
Measurement of blood pressure and glucose: rCarried out by the La Chorrera Oeste Lions Club, achieving the attention of people in the age range of 19 to 65 years, who could be evaluated and cared for by health personnel.
Vaccination Day: with the participation of the Ministry of Health and private companies and public institutions who shared with those present information about the services they offer, including:
price smart, company dedicated to focused on working with its partners and suppliers to offer low unit prices on an exclusive selection of high-quality products and services, all within a reliable, secure shopping experience
Internal and external entrepreneurs. Who managed to make themselves known to students and society.
