UMECIT lionesses wear gold in the Eastern American Football League – LIFAE –
UMECIT is consecrated Women's Champion of the Eastern American Football League -LIFAE-, by winning the final against the BT Cobras, by a score of 12 to 7 in a very close match, where Las Leonas pulled out their claws showing a high offensive level and defensive in their strategies. The Emilio Royo Stadium was the setting that hosted the game of the day between Las Leonas de UMECIT and the BT Cobras, where the university students managed to overcome the score and consolidate the victory to take the championship.
The student of the Degree in Physical Education and Personal Training, Orlanda Castro, was chosen as the "Best Player of the Final" giving lecture on offensive strategies during the development of the match. In this way, UMECIT achieves its second championship in Flag Football, showing itself as one of the main teams to follow in the future.
