Occupational Health and Safety Conference: repercussions of climate change
Last April 27, the Occupational Health and Safety Conference was held, a highly relevant event that brought together experts and entities both at the Founders Headquarters and at the national level, connecting various headquarters virtually. The main purpose was to explore the repercussions of climate change on occupational health and safety, a topic proposed by the International Labor Organization (ILO) for this year.
The objective of this conference was to promote an academic and professional exchange that would contribute to the advancement of knowledge and safety practices in work environments. During the event, participants had the invaluable opportunity to enrich their knowledge, develop new skills and acquire practical tools to strengthen safety at work.
The participation of three distinguished speakers stood out: Mr. Alexis Brenes, an expert in Chemistry; the representative of the Ministry of Health, Eng. Nemesio Estribi; and the president of the National Association for Occupational Safety and Health (ANSSOP), Mgtr. José Iván Rodríguez. They offered keynote presentations on various aspects related to the main theme suggested by the ILO.
This day represented a valuable opportunity for our students to acquire knowledge and share experiences, as well as to strengthen collaboration and the exchange of ideas between professionals, academics and experts in the field. We are committed to continuing to move together towards safer, healthier and more productive work environments for the benefit of all.
