With the purpose of promoting the growth of sustainable ventures and strengthening their competitiveness, the official launch of the UMECIT Sustainable Ventures Certification System (SCES–UMECIT) was carried out.
The system will allow entrepreneurs to assess the level of development of their businesses using the PANAL model, identify opportunities for improvement, and access a certification that supports their good practices, strengthens their sustainability, and enhances their positioning.
The event included the participation of Dr. Santiago Nieto, Vice-Rector of Projects; Master Yelitza González, Director of Extension and Social Engagement; Dr. Mayra Roa, creator of the PANAL model and guest speaker; Mr. Gabriel Diez, representative of the business sector; Master Alison García, Director of Business Development at AMPYME; Ms. Nadeshka Galástica, National Coordinator of Entrepreneurship; and Dr. Hermes Mauricio Sierra, Academic Vice-Rector, who was in charge of the institutional closing of the event.
The event brought together entrepreneurs from the university community, external entrepreneurs, and female entrepreneurs from the Ministry of Women, who participated in this space for collaboration, exchange of experiences, and registration for the new certification system.
