II Workshop of the Training Program with the Electoral Attorney General's Office
The Electoral Attorney General's Office is an institution in charge of guaranteeing respect for democracy and overseeing the transparency of elections in Panama. Its main function is to ensure that elections reflect the free, spontaneous and authentic expression of citizens, promoting respect for the dignity of the vote.
In this context, a workshop has been organized to provide information on the general functioning of the Electoral Attorney General's Office. This workshop is relevant for the entire educational community, especially for law students from the second year onwards, as they are considered to have two hours of legal consultancy.
The objective of the workshop is to provide participants with basic knowledge about the work and responsibilities of the Electoral Attorney General's Office. It will address issues related to the monitoring and oversight of elections, as well as the importance of ensuring transparency in electoral processes.
Participation in this workshop will allow students to broaden their understanding of Panama's electoral system and the role of the Electoral Attorney General's Office in protecting democracy. It will also provide them with the opportunity to ask questions and obtain legal advice on specific issues related to the electoral field.
