A distinguished UMECIT graduate will share her experience in the workshop “Finance for Non-Financial Professionals”

The Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology -UMECIT- will hold the workshop “Finance for Non-Financial Professionals”, an initiative aimed at the university community that seeks to facilitate the understanding of essential financial concepts and provide practical tools to organize resources and make decisions with greater confidence.

The workshop will be led by Mgter. Francheska Frazer Vicenty, a distinguished graduate of UMECIT, a Certified Public Accountant, with a degree in Accounting and a Master's degree in Internal Auditing, who currently serves as Credit Risk Assurance Manager at KPMG Panama.

With experience in financial analysis, auditing, and risk management, Frazer Vicenty will share knowledge and best practices from his professional career, bringing financial tools to participants in a clear and practical way, especially for those who do not have specialized training in this area.

Their participation also represents the permanent link between UMECIT and its graduates, integrating the professional experience of those who have completed their training at the University into new learning spaces for the university community.

A career that transcends professional practice

The participation of Mgter. Francheska Frazer Vicenty takes on special relevance as she is nominated for the Vestigium 2026 Award, in the Academic and Research category, a recognition that highlights her professional career, commitment to academic excellence and contribution to strengthening knowledge in the areas of accounting, auditing and financial risk management.

Her career includes her participation as an exhibitor at UMECIT, with the conference “Analysis of Financial Statements”; evaluator of scientific papers at research conferences and Outstanding Graduate of UMECIT, recognition awarded for her career and professional contributions.

Currently, from his position at KPMG Panama, he leads processes related to financial analysis, risk assessment and audit supervision for banking and financial entities.

Furthermore, she has maintained a commitment to social responsibility through her participation in volunteer initiatives and community impact projects, contributing to the generation of social value through the exercise of her profession.

His career is also related to different Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly quality education, decent work and economic growth, innovation, institutional strengthening and the generation of alliances.

A space to strengthen financial literacy

The workshop will take place on Monday, August 24, 2026, at 4:00 pm, in the Conference Room of the Founders Building.

The activity is organized by University Welfare, in collaboration with the Graduate Coordination, as part of the actions aimed at strengthening the link with graduates and integrating their professional experience into the institutional training spaces.
