As part of the practical training activities of the subject General Ecology, second semester students of the Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Management Administration They participated in an academic tour to Panama Rainforest Discovery Center and to Camino de Cruces National Park, two emblematic settings for the study of tropical ecosystems and environmental conservation in Panama.

The activity was led by the professor Elvis Franceschi, who accompanied the students on a tour designed to strengthen the knowledge acquired in the classroom through direct observation of the ecological processes and the natural richness of the biological corridor of the canal zone.

During the day, participants analyzed the biodiversity present in both protected areas, identified the stratification of tropical forests, and explored the importance of biological connectivity as a key element for ecosystem conservation. They also learned about the historical and environmental value of Camino de Cruces National Park, recognized for its role in protecting the country's natural heritage.

The experience allowed the integration of theory with practice, promoting the development of skills for the analysis of ecosystem services, the sustainable management of the territory and decision-making based on environmental criteria.

With initiatives like this, the Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Management Administration reaffirms its commitment to academic training based on experiential learning, preparing professionals capable of facing the challenges of sustainability and the conservation of natural resources from a scientific and comprehensive perspective.
