Psychology that transcends the classroom: students strengthen the emotional well-being of the migrant population
As part of the Group Dynamics course, taught by Professor Jill Manuel, students of the Bachelor's Degree in General Psychology visited the Hogar Luisa Comprehensive Support Center, where they carried out a day of service and learning for the benefit of the community.
During the activity, the future professionals gave a talk on emotional intelligence to the migrant population served at the center. Through this session, they promoted the recognition, expression, and healthy management of emotions, providing tools that contribute to personal well-being and harmonious coexistence.
As part of the day, they also made a donation delivery, reaffirming their commitment to solidarity, empathy and service to those who need it most.
This university outreach initiative allowed students to strengthen their professional skills through group interaction, collaborative work, and direct contact with the community, integrating academic learning with social responsibility.
With activities like this, the university reaffirms its mission to train professionals committed to human development, capable of generating a positive impact inside and outside the classroom.
