We strengthen our environmental commitment during a training session

As part of their commitment to comprehensive training and the promotion of a culture of sustainability, students of the Bachelor's degrees in Preschool Education and in Physical Education and Personal Training at UMECIT participated in an Environmental Protection Talk, aimed at strengthening their knowledge and fostering greater awareness about the conservation of natural resources.

The participants reflected on the main environmental challenges facing Panama and the role that future professionals play as promoters of responsible and sustainable practices within their communities.

During the day, the importance of future educators incorporating environmental education as a cross-cutting theme in their professional practice was highlighted, promoting values of respect, conservation and care for the environment in new generations.

«"This initiative seeks to inspire our students to become true agents of change. Collaboration between the academic community and outreach programs is fundamental to training responsible, conscientious professionals actively committed to the sustainable development of our country."», spokespeople from the Academic Coordination pointed out.

This initiative was promoted by the Academic Coordination of the Faculty of Humanities, with the support of the Extension Directorate, as part of the institutional strategies that integrate academic training with social and environmental responsibility.
