The Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology -UMECIT-, successfully developed the UMECIT Job Fair 2026, carried out by May 15-21 in a hybrid format (virtual and in-person), allowing the participation of students and graduates from different campuses across the country.
The initiative, organized in partnership with Konzerta/Bumeran, Its purpose was to strengthen labor relations and create spaces that facilitate access to professional opportunities, connecting the university community with important companies in the national productive sector.
For seven consecutive days and with permanent availability through the virtual platform, the fair brought together 29 partner companies and offered over 200 job openings, promoting closer ties between UMECIT talent and potential employers.
In addition to accessing employment opportunities, participants had the opportunity to conduct job interviews with participating companies, strengthening the processes of integration and professional development.
As a result of this initiative, the participation of 343 students and graduates in person and 1,057 participants in virtual mode, reaching a total of 1,400 people benefited.

Among the organizations with the highest number of applications were UMECIT, Banco General, Seguros SURA, Banistmo, Empresas Carbone, Grupo Melo, Coinseca, Banesco Panamá, Hotel El Panamá and OMC Group, demonstrating the interest of the university community in the opportunities offered.
