Students and teachers from our Occupational Safety and Health program actively participated in the recent II International Forum on Comprehensive Disaster Risk Management, held on March 25, 26 and 27 at the Hotel El Panamá.
The main objective of this forum was to promote the exchange of experiences and experiences to strengthen relationships between all actors and participants. We are proud to be part of this space where roles are assumed as agents of change, providing viable and achievable solutions for sustainable development.
During the event, various topics related to the increase in the exposure and vulnerability of our societies to disasters were addressed. It is crucial to take necessary measures to manage the risk of disasters and thus minimize their consequences on the population and the territory.
Comprehensive Disaster Risk Management must be a fundamental part of the agenda of all actors in society. To achieve this goal, it is essential to increase understanding and knowledge about disaster risk. Therefore, we provide spaces where experts, government and civil society converge to address this problem effectively.
This knowledge acquired by professionals and students guarantees the continuity of actions and contributes significantly to the construction of more resilient societies. We commit to continue actively participating in initiatives that promote comprehensive disaster risk management and to share the learning obtained with our educational community and society in general.
