On September 5th, students in the Ecosystems course participated in an enriching academic tour to El Valle de Antón, under the direction and supervision of Professor Shirlen Morales Toro.

During this field training experience, the students had the opportunity to directly approach the biodiversity of the area, observe the characteristics of its tropical ecosystems and analyze the main environmental challenges facing this important natural enclave.

The day allowed students to complement the knowledge acquired in the classroom through observation and analysis of natural resources in their environment, as well as to reflect on the importance of conservation strategies and the responsible use of the country's natural wealth.

This type of experience contributes to a comprehensive education, strengthening critical thinking, environmental awareness, and the practical appreciation of ecosystems and natural resources in future professionals.

The academic tour reaffirms the importance of experiential learning as a tool to connect theory with reality and train professionals committed to the protection and conservation of natural heritage.
