Law students from UMECIT Chitré strengthen their training with an academic tour to state institutions

Students of the Bachelor of Law and Political Science at UMECIT, Chitré campus, participated in an academic tour within the framework of the Economic and Financial Law subject, with the purpose of strengthening their training through a practical and direct experience with key institutions of the legal and governmental field of Panama.

During the day, the students visited the Consumer Protection and Competition Authority and the National Assembly, where they had the opportunity to learn firsthand about the operation of these entities and their role in the regulation, protection of rights and construction of the country's legal framework.

This experience allowed the consolidation of knowledge acquired in the classroom with relevant information from the legal sector, promoting the development of critical, creative and prospective thinking, as well as the strengthening of ethical commitment, fundamental values of the institution's neo-cyberhumanist educational model.

Furthermore, the activity facilitated an understanding of the institutional dynamics related to the creation of laws, reaffirming the commitment of future professionals to justice and the rule of law.

With initiatives like this, UMECIT continues to strengthen university outreach through strategic alliances with institutions in the country, contributing to a comprehensive and relevant education for its students.
