The university community of UMECIT, La Chorrera campus, demonstrated once again that solidarity and teamwork can generate a positive impact on society, after successfully completing the solidarity day "Lechetón 20-30 – UMECIT", an initiative that allowed the collection of a significant amount of milk containers intended to support families and children in vulnerable conditions.

The donation was formally delivered to the 20-30 Active Club of West Panama on May 30, strengthening the ties of cooperation between both organizations and reaffirming the institutional commitment to the social development of the community.

The activity saw enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, staff, and members of the Golden Age Project, who responded to the call with generosity and commitment. Their contribution demonstrated the spirit of unity that characterizes the UMECIT family and the transformative power of education when linked to community impact initiatives.

Beyond the food drive, the initiative raised awareness among participants about the needs faced by numerous families in West Panama, promoting values such as solidarity, social responsibility, and civic awareness. It also strengthened a sense of belonging and the importance of actively participating in building a more just and inclusive society.
