The deterioration of the hydrographic basins in Panama

UMECIT and MY ENVIRONMENT As part of the "Learning Environmental Culture in Higher Education" program that has been taking place since 2021, it will carry out this great event called the Deterioration of the Hydrographic Basins in Panama, from the Basin Committee Webinar at the Stand of the Fair of Azuero 2023, with the special guest Eng. Marlenis Marín.

Environmental education increases the awareness and knowledge of students, teachers, administrators and the general public about environmental issues or problems. In doing so, it provides the tools necessary to make informed decisions and responsible action.

UMECIT, assumed in the year 2021 the commitment through a set of specific actions to the consolidation of a culture of environmental conservation inside and outside the institution, responding to the realization of an action plan with a view to reducing the environmental impact of the environment, as a citizen responsibility of the entire university community.

The extension program promotes actions that allow the conservation of the natural resources of our institution and the environment, involving the umecista community and the general population.
