Outstanding participation of Dr. Rubén Darío Collantes González in the XIII International Congress of Research and Innovation
Dr. Rubén Darío Collantes González, Research Professor at the Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology (UMECIT), had the honor of participating as a speaker at the XIII International Congress of Research and Innovation, in virtual mode organized by CIDE Ecuador. This prestigious event took place from March 19 to 21, 2024 in Guayaquil.
During his speech at the congress, Dr. Collantes presented the topic "Venomous arthropods of medical and forensic importance in agroecosystems of the province of Chiriquí, Panama." This presentation reflects the investigative advances developed by the professor as part of the institutional project that he leads within the Criminalistics and Forensic Sciences career at UMECIT – David Campus, demonstrating his commitment to the dissemination and transfer of the scientific knowledge of our university.
In addition to this outstanding participation, Dr. Collantes has submitted recent findings from the poisonous arthropod project to specialized and indexed scientific journals, with publications soon to be published. He also shared his experience in research during an interview for the program “A date with Research” on Umecit Radio last Friday, March 22 of this year.
Professor Collantes, along with other teachers and students from UMECIT, was recognized last Tuesday, March 12, with the Scientific Spirit Award, organized by the Research, Innovation and Postgraduate Directorate of our institution. We extend our most sincere congratulations to Dr. Rubén Collantes for his achievements and valuable contributions aimed at contributing to the sustainable development of the country.
