In our continued commitment to academic excellence and contribution to national development, we announce the launch of the call for the presentation of research projects. Promote the production of knowledge through research and innovation and recognizing that the increase in scientific, technological and innovation capacity and the training of researchers are essential elements to contribute to the solution of the country's fundamental problems that contribute to development and well-being. social.
GUIDELINES TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CALL
1. The Research Registration Form (F-71) must be filled out and once this form is completed, it must be sent to the following link: https://forms.gle/vrkXvHLih2E2YayM8
It must have the data and signatures of the proposing researchers and all fields filled out. Up to a maximum of three teachers can apply per proposal and involve students of any level of training. Disciplinary or multidisciplinary studies are accepted in correspondence with the research areas of UMECIT.
2. The financial aspects linked to the project must be detailed and duly justified (includes participation in scientific events and publications to disseminate advances or results in scientific journals indexed in Scopus).
3. The amount of financing must meet criteria of rationality and limited resources. This aspect will be evaluated in a special way.
4. All research proposals must be in correspondence with the institutional research lines and the teacher is automatically incorporated with the registration into the corresponding institutional research group according to the topic of the project, governed in that case by the guidelines and guidelines. established the institution, once the registration is approved.
5. The researcher will participate in scientific events on behalf of the university, with the progress or final results of the project, as part of the products generated, in accordance with what was approved in the registration process.
6. Regarding financing, the funds will be disbursed against invoice or purchase of service (quotation) and will be subject to the mechanisms and procedures established by the General Vice-Rector's Office and the Directorate of Research, Innovation and Postgraduate Studies of UMECIT.
7. Researchers will receive financial and other incentives against the delivery of scientific products, in accordance with what is established in the Institutional Incentives Program.
8. Interested parties who submit their proposals will receive the Institutional Research Procedure document, in order to learn more details about their involvement as a UMECIT researcher.
9. Receipt of proposals does not obligate their acceptance.
EVALUATION AND SELECTION:
- The proposals will be submitted to preliminary evaluation by the Research, Innovation and Postgraduate Directorate and the UMECIT Research Center.
- The following criteria will be taken into account in the evaluation: Academic and social impact, scientific quality of the proposal, originality in the specific field, relevance to the lines of institutional research, impact on teaching and/or extension. Additionally: application of knowledge that provides solutions to productive and social problems of the country; consolidation of research lines and groups at UMECIT and coordination with government actions and NGOs that carry out research in areas related to UMECIT's offering.
