In commemoration of World Voluntary Blood Donor Day, the university held a blood donation drive on June 26th, which saw broad participation from students, faculty, staff, and members of the university community.

The event brought together more than 80 people, 45 of whom successfully completed their voluntary blood donation, contributing to the strengthening of hospital blood banks and providing a chance at life for those who require transfusions. Each donation can benefit up to three people, making it a powerful act of solidarity with a significant impact on the healthcare system.

This initiative reaffirms the institution's commitment to promoting a culture of solidarity, social responsibility, and service to the community. It also highlighted the participation of students from the health sciences faculties, who demonstrated their dedication to service and their commitment to the well-being of the population, putting into practice the values promoted by their university education.

The university thanks the Dona Vida Foundation for its valuable support in the organization and development of this event, as well as each of the donors who, with an altruistic gesture, contributed to giving hope and saving lives.
