With outstanding student and faculty participation, UMECIT David campus held the Twenty-Fifth Research Conference, an event that reaffirms the institution's commitment to training critical, innovative professionals dedicated to generating knowledge.
The event brought together students from the undergraduate programs in Medical Records and Health Statistics, Criminalistics and Forensic Sciences, Accounting, Social Work and Human Development, who presented a total of 13 research projects developed from different academic lines: Forensic Sciences and Criminalistics, Psychology and Human Development, Public Health, and Prevention and Organizational Management.
The event featured a special presentation by Ms. Ingrid Pinto, a graduate of the Bachelor's Degree in Social Work and Human Development, who shared valuable insights with the attendees on the importance of research as a driver of academic and professional development for future graduates.
The projects presented not only demonstrated the students' academic rigor, but also their direct link to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), by addressing topics related to peace, justice and strong institutions; health and well-being; industry, innovation and infrastructure; decent work and economic growth; and the reduction of inequalities.
