An Electrifying Closing at the 2023 AUPPA Futsal Cup!
The curtain fell on the exciting edition of the 2023 AUPPA Futsal Cup, leaving fans on the edge of their seats at the spectacular final on 30 July. After a tournament filled with passionate matchups and unforgettable moments, the ISAE University team emerged as champions, displaying exceptional talent and steely determination at every moment of the game.
The Instituto Bilingüe Internacional – IBI witnessed an intense battle on the field, where the ISAE team prevailed against UMECIT with a close score of 5-4. This exciting match was a real delight for futsal fans, who witnessed a display of emotions and top-level sporting skills.
A well-deserved recognition is extended to UMECIT for its outstanding performance, securing second place in a close competition and maintaining uncertainty in each play until the last minute.
The third position was conquered by the Universidad del Istmo team, who displayed a masterful strategy and impeccable skills in each match, further raising the level of competitiveness in this vibrant cup.
In addition to honoring the best team, the AUPPA Cup celebrated outstanding individual players. Julio Garay, student at UMECIT University, was crowned “Top Scorer” thanks to his amazing ability to score crucial points, playing an essential role in his team's success. Jorge Barría, from ISAE University, won the “Best Goalkeeper” award, keeping his goal intact and leading his team to victory in each match.
We extend our deep appreciation to all participating teams, including Ganexa, Universidad Santander, QLU, UAM and Columbus University, who demonstrated exemplary sportsmanship and fostered camaraderie and cooperation through sport.
