Through this agreement, both institutions seek to strengthen the relationship between academia and the community, promoting the holistic development of children and young people with disabilities. It also includes the implementation of annual work plans over a five-year period, focused on key areas such as community engagement, research, and entrepreneurship.
This alliance will also allow for the provision of technical and professional support for the comprehensive care of this population, reaffirming UMECIT's commitment to priority groups and the social inclusion of people with disabilities and their families in the dynamics of development.
The activity included the participation of representatives from SENADIS, family members, young people with disabilities and students from UMECIT Chitré campus, who were part of this significant meeting that strengthens collaborative work in favor of a more inclusive society.
