UMECIT Chitré Campus promotes sustainability with a recycling training day

As part of its commitment to promoting a responsible environmental culture, UMECIT Chitré Campus will hold a training session entitled "Transforming our daily habits" on June 10, 2026, an initiative aimed at strengthening recycling practices within the university community.

The activity will feature the participation of the distinguished engineer Isibel Solís, biologist and recycling specialist, who will share knowledge and practical tools to promote sustainable habits in daily life.

This event is part of the UMECIT Chitré Campus Recycling Campaign, whose objective is to raise awareness and motivate students, teachers, administrative staff and the general public to adopt concrete actions that contribute to reducing environmental impact, transforming everyday waste into valuable resources for society.

«"We want to provide attendees with real and easy-to-apply tools. It's not just about throwing trash in a different bin, but about understanding how our consumption choices transform our environment," the event coordinators stated.
