Our House of Study was present in Voices of a MAGICAL CITY promoting the
Global Citizenship insignia of our Neo-Cyberhumanist curricular educational model, encouraging our students to be able to interact in multicultural settings
within society.
This event was carried out by the Ministry of Culture of Panama and the University Forties
where a hundred tunas took over the Anita Villalaz Theater in Las Bóvedas in Casco Viejo.
This cultural activity was carried out within the framework of the celebration of the 350 years of the Refoundation
from Panama City.
The University Forties are a movement that carry out activities to promote and
disseminate the cultural richness of our region through music and traditional singing by
different cities of the country, in which they offer their performances with typical songs and the classic
attire of its members.
National Tunas such as: La Salle, Universitaria, Universidad de
Panama and others of international stature made up of representatives of countries such as Costa Rica,
Colombia and Puerto Rico.
In this way, UMECIT seeks to encourage the active participation of students in activities
cultural and artistic within the institution, providing students with a cultural experience
enriching, that allows them to develop skills and knowledge in various areas, and
also promote creativity, collaboration and critical thinking.
