UMECIT leader in the Webometrics world ranking as the best private university in Panama
In the Webometrics world ranking, January 2023 edition, our House of Studies is positioned as the leader in the first place of private universities in Panama and third at the national level.
According to this important measurement, which takes into account several factors based on visibility and presence on the web; as well as in the number of documents, publications and online citations, UMECIT is located in the 3rd position, where only two public universities precede it, thus occupying the most privileged position among private ones.
Likewise, the Webometrics ranking, which rates more than 30,000 universities in the world, evaluates science, research and technology topics according to indicators designed methodologically to measure scientific activity on the web.
“The Cybermetrics Laboratory publishes the Ranking twice a year in January and July since 2004 and seeks to reinforce and motivate the role of universities as producers and providers of free access quality web content.
