UMECIT, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Private Universities of Panama -Auppa-, participates in the 17th Assembly of the Network of Latin American and Caribbean Associations of Private Universities -REALCUP-, an event in which experiences on the situation of higher education in the region, trends, challenges and limitations at a global level.
Within the framework of the celebration of the 60 years of the Council of Rectors of Private Universities of Argentina -CRUP-, this Assembly is held, whose main objective is to generate spaces for exchange and debate on the challenges faced by higher education in Latin America and the Caribbean, quality and relevance, the generation of flexible training paths: global trends, challenges and limitations, as well as the technological revolution, the changing demands of the social and productive sector and of course globalization.
The event is attended by experts such as Dr. Susanna Karakhanyan Former President of INQAAHE 2016-2021, Director of Higher Education Policy of the Department of Education and Knowledge of the United Arab Emirates and Dr. Jamil Salmi, government policy consultant in more than 100 countries, from all continents, consultant to the World Bank, UNESCO, OECD and European Commission. On behalf of our House of Studies, the rector, José Alberto Nieto Rojas, and the General Vice-rector, Claudia Marcela Rueda Ossa, attended.
