UMECIT successfully developed an incoming academic mobility day with postgraduate students from the María Cano University Foundation of the Republic of Colombia, thus consolidating its commitment to internationalization and academic exchange.
As part of this experience, the students visited ProPanama, an allied entity of the university, where they participated in a specialized conference on Panama's logistics hub and its impact on regional and international development.
Subsequently, an outstanding international co-teaching activity was carried out, led by Mgtr. Sebastián Salazar Henao (Colombia) and Mgtr. Jorge Luis Cisneros Jiménez (Panama), who developed the topic "The super hub of the Americas: the digital and logistics revolution of Panama and Colombia", promoting comparative analysis and the exchange of knowledge between both contexts.
The day continued with an immersive experience in emerging technologies, through a demonstration of the augmented reality program developed in partnership with EON XR, led by Mgtr. Julie Guerrero, head of the FATLAB innovation laboratory.
Finally, the participants toured the FATLAB, where they learned firsthand about the technological capabilities, innovation projects, and advanced learning tools offered by the institution.
These initiatives reaffirm UMECIT's commitment to internationalization, educational innovation, and the creation of high-impact academic experiences for its students and strategic partners.
