UMECIT strengthens legal training with a specialized conference on Family Criminal Procedural Law and the Juvenile Criminal System

With the purpose of strengthening the academic and professional training of its students, UMECIT carried out the Conference with Experts in Family Criminal Procedure Law and Juvenile Criminal Law, aimed at students and teachers of the Bachelor's Degree in Law and Political Science.

The event featured the participation of prominent professionals from the judicial field: the Circuit Prosecutor of the Specialized Family Section of the province of Herrera, Lic. Guillermo Cedeño Ruiloba, and the Sectional Family Judge of the province of Veraguas, Luis Arturo Villalaz Velasco.

During the meeting, the experts shared their knowledge and experiences on fundamental aspects of professional practice, addressing topics related to family jurisdiction and the juvenile criminal system, providing participants with a practical perspective on the challenges and responsibilities involved in the practice of law.

This type of initiative allows students to complement the knowledge acquired in the classroom with experiences and perspectives directly from the judicial and justice sector, strengthening their professional skills and their understanding of the different scenarios of legal practice.

At UMECIT, we promote a comprehensive education based on knowledge, ethics, social commitment, and ongoing engagement with professionals and institutions in the legal sector, preparing our future lawyers to respond responsibly and competently to the needs of society.

UMECIT continues to strengthen its ties with the judicial and justice sector, consolidating academic spaces that contribute to relevant, ethical legal training committed to the country.
