UMECIT delivers institutional and career improvement plans to CONEAUPA

Last Monday, January 13, 2025, the Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology -UMECIT- reaffirmed its commitment to educational quality and continuous improvement by delivering the Adjusted Institutional Improvement Plan (PMIA) and the Adjusted Career Improvement Plan (PMCA) of the Bachelor's Degree in General Psychology to the National Council for Evaluation and University Accreditation of Panama (CONEAUPA).

The reception of these important documents was in charge of Dr. María Terrientes de Benavides, representing CONEAUPA, while, representing UMECIT, the distinguished academics Dr. Rosa Idalí Castañeda, Dr. Julie Guerrero, Dr. Gissel Guerrero and Dr. Alanis Tamayo were present.

These plans reflect UMECIT's commitment to academic excellence, aligning with its institutional mission statements and the standards required by Panamanian higher education.

The PMIA and PMCA, developed through a rigorous self-assessment process, include recommendations provided by CONEAUPA's peer evaluators, strengthening strategies and actions aimed at ensuring quality education.

This effort reaffirms UMECIT's vision of being an academic benchmark that contributes to the transformation of society through education based on ethical principles, innovation and excellence.
